Pesca bas reliefs by the artist Bruno W Tomei are the result of a fruit of labour stemming from a spiritual journey that began with a search over several kilometres of Gaspesian beaches and nearby farmsteads.  The raw material that these creations are composed of include driftwood and rustic barn planks; chosen by the artist for their originality and structural integrity.  As for the ‘’fish’’, they are created from recycled cotton fibres and modelling clay, all fashioned by hand.

The technique with working the wooden planks is mixed media; acrylic, metal leaf which is saturated with polymer varnish and anti-UV epoxy finish.  Therefore the sculptor can guarantee perpetual and structural integrity with the use of quality materials.
